He was predeceased by: his father Preston John Vanicor; and his brother Blane Sonnier. He is survived by: his mother Patricia Lynn Bernard Vanicor; his children, Abigail Vanicor, Mason Vanicor, Maggie Vanicor and Preston Vanicor; his siblings, Vickie Thibodeaux, Shawn Vanicor, Shane Vanicor and Delta Nelson (Scotty) of Jules; and his nieces and nephews, Akayla, Gage, Chance, Alexa, Tanner, Bailey, Kort and Emily.
