He was predeceased by: his wife Ethel Caswell Hampton; his grandsons, Matt Crochet and Daniel Crochet; and his great grandchild Logan T. Chiasson. He is survived by: his children, Wade Crochet (Sue) of Lake Charles, David Hampton (Kathleen) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Dani Jo Cagle (Mike) of Lake Charles; his grandchildren, Brock Schell (Georgie) of Longview, Mandy Fender of Lake Charles, Jamie Guidry, Chad Guidry, Matt Hampton and Anne Hampton Dennis; and his nephews, Robert and Donald Stollsteimer. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
