He was predeceased by: his parents, Tanzy Fontenot and Rose Fontenot; his granddaughter Sophie Alexandra Bertrand; and his siblings, John Fontenot, Roger Lee Fontenot and Darcy Jemison.
He is survived by: his wife Emily Fontenot; and his children, Anna Schroll, Clement Ray Fontenot, II (Loretta), Lisa Fontenot, Dawn Sullivan (Ricky) and Joan Fontenot.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Johnson & Brown Funeral Home (505 US-90, Iowa, LA 70647). A rosary was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Raphael Catholic Church (211 S Thompson Ave, Iowa, LA 70646).
