We are sad to announce that on January 24, 2022, at the age of 91, Sylvester Lawrence Frey of Iota, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Reiners Frey; his parents, Albert Frey and Lena Prather Frey; his siblings, Mania Marie Frey, Ceil Leger, Clara LeJeune, Amelia Bertrand, Catherine Fontenot, Walter, Jimmy, Frank, August, Richard, Robert and Harold; his parents-in-law, Frank and Marie Reiners; and his son-in-law Tony Manuel.
He is survived by: his children, Anne Frey Ritter (Lionel) of Iota, Francis Frey (Germaine) of Iota, Gilbert Frey of Iota and Gerard Frey (Dana) of Iota; his adoptive son Gus Bezara of Iota; his grandchildren, Melanie Broussard (Shawn), Jason Frey (Andrea), Brandon Frey (Lacey), Derek Frey, Blaise Frey and Tracy Combs; and his great grandchildren, Cole, Daxton Broussard, Addison, Jacob Frey, Landon, Cadence Combs and Brayan Jasso. He is also survived by his family and friends and his grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Sylvester would appreciate donations to St. Francis School, 490 St. Joseph St., Iota, LA 70543, as he was a proud supporter and part of four generations attending.
