He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Lopez and Lilly Pourceaux; his children, Lucrecia Thornton, Melvin Lopez, Jr. and Henry C.; and his brothers, Arcade Lopez and Leonard Lopez.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki; his children, Shirley Rodriguez, Serena Wallin, Patience Bock, Henrietta Curtis, Elnora Sonnier, Krystal V., Amber K., Samantha, Cody K. and Tellerson C.; and his sister Ida Lopez. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
