It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lola Belle Gatte of Iota, Louisiana, who passed away on February 13, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Leckelt and Agnes Hebert Leckelt of Iota; her husband Marion Gatte; her sons, Rocky Gatte, Kirt Gatte, Patrick Gatte and Baby Gatte; her siblings, Albert Leckelt, Edward Leckelt, Willie Leckelt, Joe Leckelt, Tootsie, Beatrice, Alice, Thelma, Annie and Lois; and her great grandchildren, Madison Gatte and Baby Granger.
She is survived by: her children, Frieda Gatte of Gotts Cove and Rodrick "Joe Boy" Gatte (Rhonetta) of Gotts Cove; her daughters-in-law, Dannette Stagg and Myrna Gatte; and her siblings-in-law, Betty Manuel, Verbie Miller, Sharley Fruge, Floyd Gatte (Pat) and Clarence Gatte. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and fifteen great greatgrandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
