With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lucille Clara DuBois Goodwin of Independence, Louisiana, born in Albany, Louisiana, who passed away on January 15, 2025 at the age of 95. She was predeceased by: her husband Wilmer Goodwin; her parents, Edmond DuBois and Clara DuBois; her siblings, Huey DuBois, Ali DuBois and Gattis Harris; and her siblings-in-law, Charles Harris, Olga DuBois, Joyce DuBois, Thelma DuBois and Estelle DuBois.
She is survived by: her sons, Danny L. Goodwin (Machelle) and Donald Goodwin (Susan); her grandchildren, Dawn Toole (Jeff), Darla Greco (Mike), Dane Goodwin (Bryana), Haiden Goodwin (Darci) and Ian Goodwin (Renee); her great grandchildren, Drew Thompson, Beau Thompson, Olivia Thompson, Sabria Duffy, Abram Duffy, Adalynn Goodwin, Alice Goodwin and Deliliah Goodwin; and her brother Edmond.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Brandon G Thompson Funeral Home (12012 US-190, Hammond, LA 70401). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
