The memory of Eleanor V. Petho of Independence, Louisiana, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on February 11, 2025 at the age of 93, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. For Eleanor is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Horvath and Elizabeth Horvath; her son Allen Petho; and her siblings, Margaret Tisot and John Horvath.
She is survived by: her children, Andy Petho, Russell Petho, Rudolph Petho (Brenda), Denise Toole and Eric Petho. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home (2000 N Morrison Blvd, Hammond, LA 70401). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church (620 3rd St, Independence, LA 70443).
