He is survived by: his wife Hester Blount Bankston; his son Donnie Lynn Bankston Sr. (Stephanie); his sister Dorothy Hoyt; his grandchildren, Donna Lowe (Bo) and Donnie Lynn Bankston Jr.; his great grandchildren, Jameson, Jalanea, Jullian and Jacelyn Lowe; and his sister-in-law Elsie Bankston. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
