He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Bennett and Ella Bennett; and his son Scotty Lee Bennett. He is survived by: his wife Jennie Bennett; his children, Charlene Gail Bevere (Larry), Reggie Lynn Bennett (Rose), Mary Alice Bennett, Dennis Leon Bennett (Dottie), Timothy Bennett (Kay) and Charlie Edward Bennett Jr. (Julie); his grandchildren, Melanie S. Bevere (Gunner) and Dustin Ryan Chavers (Ashley); his great grandchildren, Kaylee Ann Chavers and Heath Ryan Chavers; and his sister Joan Bennett Jones.
