Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Carmella Ann Dagro Smith of Independence, Louisiana, who passed away at the age of 93, on December 15, 2024. She was predeceased by: her parents, Noby Dagro and Ida LaMarca Dagro; her husband Alfred Smith; her stepson Mark Smith; her siblings, Andrew Dagro and Marie Dagro Silvestri; and her niece Lisa Silvestri.
She is survived by: her stepdaughter Michelle Smith; her daughter-in-law Beatriz Smith; her grandchildren, Ryan Smith, Christopher Smith, Michael "Mikey" Smith and Jennifer Smith; and her nieces and nephews, Joey Dagro (Robin), Christine Dagro Haney, Kathy Dagro Fluesmeier (Bruce), Steve Dagro (Laurie), Jim Silvestri (Gayle), Susan Silvestri Deniger (Ronnie) and David Silvestri (Beata). She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church (312 Lafitte St, Mandeville, LA 70448). A Mass was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 3:00 PM at 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124.
