With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Angelina Marie Guzzardo of Independence, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 16, 2024 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Vittoria Garafola and Pete Garafola; her husband Gus Guzzardo, Sr.; her son Richard Guzzardo; her grandson Blake Guzzardo; her sister Margaret Garafola Mannino; and her children-in-law, Kathleen Lee, Josie Maurer and Michael Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Gus Guzzardo, Jr., Joseph Guzzardo (Marie Domiano), David Guzzardo (Connie Forshag), Angela Miller and George Guzzardo (Brandi Rhodes); her grandchildren, April Baiamonte, Melissa Pellichino, Victoria Bruno, Christy Bellue, Jennifer Blanchard, Holly Herpich, Ryan Guzzardo, Brad Guzzardo, LaKrystal Smith, Aaron Guzzardo, Tiffany Guzzardo, Lawton Guzzardo, Ashley Hill, Vaughn Ferrara, Mary Miller, Alexandra Miller, Lacey Miller, Cameron Guzzardo, Cayden Guzzardo, Gianna Guzzardo, Hunter Rhodes and Alyssa Rhodes; her great grandchildren, Joseph Baiamonte, Nicholas Baiamonte, Anthony Pellichino, Isabella Pellichino, Corrina Pellichino, Ava Bruno, Audrey Bruno, Mara Herpich, Enna Herpich, Cecilia Herpich, Adriana Blanchard, Callie Deranger, Kyle Hill, Kodi Hill, Blakely Guzzardo, Brantly Guzzardo, Brently Guzzardo, Kota Monroe, Zarek McCallister, Malakai Smith, Kensley Smith, Daniel McKeen and Charlotte Sanders; her great great grandchildren, C. J. Baiamonte, Brody Baiamonte and Jace Graves; her brother Sal Garafola (Geraldine); and her brother-in-law Joe Mannino. She is also survived by 6 children, 23 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 8:15 AM to 10:30 AM at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home and Crematory-Hammond (2000 N Morrison Blvd, Hammond, LA 70401). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 8:30 PM at the same location. A rosary was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 8:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church (620 3rd St, Independence, LA 70443). A burial was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at the Colonial Cemetery (13433 Vitrano Ln, Independence, LA 70443).
