He was predeceased by: his parents, Yourick Lavine, Sr. and Antonia Roberts; his brothers, Joseph and Rogers Lavine; his sister-in-law Angelina Lavine; and his son Cody L. Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Smith Lavine; his children, Angela Lavigne, Yourick Lavine, III (Sharrie) of Houma, LA, Chad M. Smith, Sr. (Jerne) of Houma, LA and Troy Bradley of Houma, LA; his brother Alfred Hall, Jr. (Evette); and his sisters-in-law, Catherine Lavine and Bertha Lavine.
