It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vivian Josephine Prosperie (Houma, Louisiana), who passed away on August 1, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Alvin Joseph Prosperie; her parents, Elias Savoie and Lucille Levron Savoie; and her siblings, Clifton Savoie, Louis Savoie, Harold Savoie, Jimmy Savoie, Lela Savoie, Elma Demulder, Rita Prosperie and Thelma Billiot.

She is survived by: her children, Glynn A. Prosperie (Cindy), Harold J. Prosperie (Bertha), Elie, Gwendolyn Prosperie Thibodeaux (Milton), Anna Prosperie Sides (Thomas) and Tina Prosperie Garibotte (Danny); her sisters, Mollie Falgout and Barbara Savoie; her sister-in-law Wilma Savoie; and her grandchildren, Mindy Prosperie, Toby Prosperie, Michael Leger, Krystall Dufrene, Lee Prosperie, Hunter Prosperie, Coby Prosperie, Cy Thibodeaux, Heidi Whipple Authement, Hanna Whipple, Joshua Garibotte and Elise Garibotte. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
