He was predeceased by: his wife Aline Mildred Naquin Bergeron; his parents, William Bergeron and Antoinette Ponville Crochet; his siblings, James "Jake" Bergeron, Robert, Edward, Donald Crochet, Dorise Brister, Beverly Dardar, Betty Ann Fonseca, Shirley and Angelique Trahan; his grandchildren, Don Pierre, Max Jr., John Freeman, Baby, Sarah and Marie Haney; and his great grandchild Phillip Andre Verdin.
He is survived by: his children, Irvin (Chris) and Mildred "Jeri". He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
