She was predeceased by: her parents, George Welch Sr. and Lillian Taylor; her stepfather Raymond Taylor; her grandparents, Charlie and Victoria Welch; her siblings, Lottie Mae Taylor, Veronica Brumfield, Beverly Samson and Tyrone Taylor; and her godmother Thelma Welch Celestine.
She is survived by: her son Ron F. Ward Sr. (Angela); her siblings, Debra Williams, Charles Taylor and George Welch Jr.; her grandchildren, Brittany Ward Johnson (Brandon) and Ron F. Ward Jr. of New Orleans, LA; her great grandchildren, Kaliah, Karleigh, Johan, Ron III, Jolie, Kynadee and Moninic; and her godson Timothy Ward. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New St. Matthews Baptist Church (3966 LA-311, Houma, LA 70360). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
