It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Verna Buquet of Houma, Louisiana, born in Spring Grove, Minnesota, who passed away on January 14, 2021, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Edmond "Bud" Buquet; her parents, Oscar Bakke and Olga Doely Bakke; and her siblings, Paul Bakke and Ione Kjome.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Buquet, Cathy B. McRae and Aubin Buquet (Jennifer); and her grandchildren, Paige Bartholomew (Mark), Sean McRae (Sara), Edmond "Bud" Buquet, Michael Buquet (Karla), Gina Nevils (Macki), Lauren Dugas (Matthew), Collin Adkisson (Kelsey) and Sid Roger. She is also survived by numerous loving great grandchildren.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic; local and CDC regulations require facemask and proper social distancing while attending funeral services.
