She was predeceased by: her husband Lawrence Joseph Chauvin, Jr.; her parents, Dr. Leo and Alice Leigh Steinbach; and her brother Dr. Lorne Leigh Steinbach. She is survived by: her children, Suzanne Doucet (David), Virginia Corte (Bobby, Jr.), Larry Chauvin (Leslie), Michael Chauvin (Kathy) and Carol Patriarco (Paul); her grandchildren, Bobby Corte, III, Justin Corte (Elizabeth), Katie Steiner (Blake), Stephen Corte (Kandi), Thomas Chauvin (Rebecca), Eric Chauvin, Mary Kathryn Doucet, Mark Doucet, Lauren Chauvin, Louis Doucet and Leo Patriarco; her great grandchildren, Isabelle, Lacey, James, Claire, Michael Steiner, Cole, Clay Corte and Peter Corte; and her sister Virginia Steinbach Starr.
