It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Taylor Walker of Houma, Louisiana, born in White Castle, Louisiana, who passed away on November 8, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis H. Taylor Sr. and Josephine C. Guercio Taylor. She is survived by: her children, Thomas Walker (Susan), Jo Anne Walker Pitre and Nancy Walker Torbert; her grandchildren, Stephen Walker, Sarah Walker, John Pitre Jr., David Pitre, Maria Pitre, Emily Torbert Schexnayder and Claire Torbert; her great grandchildren, Eleanor, Harrison, Hudson, Emma and Anna; and her brothers, Otis Taylor (Wanda) and Jimmy Taylor (Angie). She is also survived by her family, from doting on her many grandchildren to assisting her mother and aunts.
