Dot Spriggs Whatley wrote a sympathy message

“Sammy was a devout member of Mulberry Baptist Church. His love and dedication to his church family was reflected in his roles as ordained deacon, choir member, Sunday School teacher and founding member of the building committee. Mulberry Baptist is where Sammy first introduced his wife Dot to his friends, prior to their marriage. He and Dot visited Mulberry for the 50th Anniversary where he was reunited with church friends. Sammy always enjoyed the home cooked meals and family get togethers.”

Dot Spriggs Whatley wrote a sympathy message

“Dearest Sammy, I am so sorry and heartbroken I was not with you when you died. This was not my choice nor yours. I prayed for us to be reunited. You were in my every thought, when I woke in the morning until I fell asleep at night. I am sorry I was not there to hold your hand and tell you how much I love you, kiss you or hold you as I had for the past 22 years. I find solace in God and in our love. Until we meet again, dear husband of mine. I will love you forever. Your loving wife, Dot”
