He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kermit Bateman (Mildred Johnson) and Wilma Harbaugh O'Brien; and his daughter Debra Bateman Hutchinson. He is survived by: his wife Genevieve "Jenny" Gaudet Bateman; his children, David W. Bateman (Jeannie), Susan Bateman May (Michael) and Peggy Bateman Daigneault (Jerome); his son-in-law Vern Hutchinson; his siblings, James "Jimmy" Bateman, Richard "Dicky" Bateman, Barry Bateman (Linda), Michael O'Brien and Lynda Bateman Davies (Brad); and his grandchildren, Katrina May Niland (Dave), Daniel May, Rusten May (Lacee), Timothy Bateman (Kathleen), Robert Bateman (Kathryn), Andrew Bateman, Clair Daigneault Pepper and Trevor Daigneault. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
