He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Marcel, Sr. and Adele Bernard Marcel; and his siblings, Wilson Marcel, Jr., Thomas "Tot" Marcel (Rosemary), Yvette M. Hebert (Joe), Enid Marcel, Jeanne M. Daigle (Robert) and Irene M. Rhodes (Clifton).
He is survived by: his wife Betty Duplantis Marcel; his children, Robin Thibodaux (Brian) and Robert "Bobby" Marcel, Jr. (Pricilla); his grandchildren, Lauren Thibodaux Pendleton (Joseph), Sarah Thibodaux and Falon Marcel Hoggatt (Justin); his great grandchildren, Weston Taylor Hoggatt and Levi Allen Hoggatt; and his siblings, Ray Marcel and Shirley Marcel Hernandez.
