He was predeceased by: his wife Alice "Fe" King Haydel; his son David Haydel; his parents, Dr. Henry Lawrence and Judith Ayme Haydel; his siblings, Betty Jean Haydel Fakier, Patricia "Patty" Haydel, Henry Lawrence Haydel, Jr., Dr. Kenneth Thomas Haydel and Ronald Joseph Haydel; his siblings-in-law, Genevieve Marcello Haydel and Robert Fakier; his parents-in-law, Hoffman and Alice Guidry King; and his siblings-in-law, Kenny King (Gloria), Hoffman Anthony "Bud" King, Jr., Marlene Wimbish (Paul) and Kathryn Gautreaux (L. G.).
He is survived by: his children, Dr. Robert D. Haydel Jr. (Tammy), Kevin J. "Moonie" Haydel (Lena), Dr. Ronald J. Haydel, II, Denise Dover (Jerry), Alice Margaret Johnson (Ricky) and Deanna Parker (Jamie); his grandchildren, Lauren, Brayden Haydel, Ashley Toups (Ryan), Alyce Theriot (Jeremy), Jonathan Haydel, Brian John (Kaylie), Ben, Jeanne Robichaux, Joshua, Hayden Johnson, Kaitlyn and Hannah Parker; his stepgrandchildren, Brigette Frank, Vanessa Bonner and Ross Dover (Paige); his siblings, Dr. K. Gerald "Jerry" Haydel, Dr. Richard "Dicky" Haydel (Judy), Judith "Judy" Henneberger (John), Kathleen "Kathy" M. Haydel (Sharon Jackson) and Margaret "Peggy" Estes (John); his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Haydel and Martha Haydel; and his siblings, Dr. Henry Lawrence and Judith Haydel. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
