We are sad to announce that on June 23, 2022, at the age of 94, Rita Lapeyrouse Songe of Houma, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Warren Songe; her parents, Enest Lapeyrouse and Alledia Lapeyrouse (Rock); her siblings, Wilson, Wilment, Morris Lapeyrouse, Eula Arcement, Dorothy Mason, Joyce Pertuit and Pearl Landry; her grandson Jared Toups; and her son-in-law Joey Toups.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Songe (Tina), Michael Songe (Lora), Peter Songe (Mell), Judy Marcel (Ray), Diana DeHarte (Terry), Carol Toups, Theresa Eschete (Daniel), Brenda Crochet (Eric), Lisa Watkins (John) and Melissa Carazo; and her brother Enest "Red" Lapeyrouse Jr. (Jo). She is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
