He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph L. Ricca and Mary Messina Hollier; his stepfather Jake W. Hollier; his brother Robert W. Ricca; and his grandson Timothy Madeiros, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Linda Gaubert Ricca; his children, Kathleen Madeiros (Timothy) of Pennsylvania, Vicki Sousa (David) of Bermuda, Yvonne Ricca of Pennsylvania, Richard J. Ricca, Jr. (Lisa) of Bermuda and Janel Ricca of Houma; and his sister Betty Clemans. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and cousin.
