He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Braud Jr. and Julia Bergeron Braud; and his brothers, Larry Braud, Melvin Braud and E. J. Braud.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Pellegrin Braud; his children, Rochelle Braud Richards (Mike), Keith Braud, Eric Braud, Mini and Monique Braud Matherne (Ronnie); his siblings, Bert Braud, Donnie Braud and Judy Callais; and his granddaughter Heidi Matherne. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
