He was predeceased by: his parents, Rene Breaux, Sr. and Ellida Babin Breaux; and his siblings, Nolan Breaux, Norman Breaux and Carrol Breaux.

He is survived by: his wife Clarice "Fay" Bourg Breaux; his children, Rene Breaux III (Rebecca), Denise Gueniot (Gene), Annette Collins and Johnny Breaux (Missy); his siblings, Harold Breaux, Marjorie Carrere, Lydia Frisella, Mary Voisin, Irene Broussard and Irma Breaux; his grandchildren, Lauren Breaux, Katelyn Breaux, Ashley Breaux, Erica Ordoyne, Becca Himel, Joshua Collins, Jenna Collins and Kelsey Breaux; his stepgrandchildren, Andrew Dupre, Deanne Ledet, Brandon Gueniot and Kevin Gueniot; his great grandchildren, James Collins, Kaden Perez and Brandt Ordoyne; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Averie Ledet and Baylie Ledet.
