He was predeceased by: his parents, Huel Colwort and Leah Songe Colwort; and his siblings, Andrew, James, John Colwort, Eva Colwort Duplantis and Eula Mae Colwort Parr.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Beatrice Colwort; and his niece Sandra Bradley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Oneil's name to the Houma Regional Military Museum.
