She was predeceased by: her daughter Deborah "Debbie" Jones; her grandson James Lee Spence; her parents, Byron Sr. Maples and Elizabeth Maples; and her siblings, Brent Maples Jr, Dan Maples, Bill Maples and Grace Roubaud.

She is survived by: her husband Ray Cheramie Sr.; her children, Charles "Chuck" Grant (Audrey), Ray Cheramie Jr (Magnus LeBlanc), Frances "Frankie" Grant and Kim Sanders (Luke); her sister Mary Maples Bullard (Richard); and her pets, Bella, Jasmine and Sugar Bear. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

“My heart goes out to Nancy's family. I only knew Ray, her husband and Ti Ray, her son. We had some good times when my husband and I lived in Grand Isle. We'd visit with Nancy and Ray often. She loved to play tricks; like one time she served us coffee and when we put the sugar in the coffee it "blew" like a volcano! LOL! I don't remember what she used to make it do that. But she got a kick out of that and laughed. Rest in Peace, Nancy for you are with GOD now. Love Jean Reboul Begovich”
