It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myra Jean Starr of Houma, Louisiana, born in Monroe, Louisiana, who passed away on February 16, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Meyer Morganstein and Laura Scholl Morganstein; and her parents-in-law, Gerard E. Starr and Sarah C. Starr. She is survived by: her husband Gerard F. Starr; her sons, Richard M. Starr (Carla Blanchard Starr) and Bryan D. Starr (Kayla Breaux Starr); her grandchildren, Lauren E. Haydel, Camryn N. Starr, Dezi L. Starr, Dylan R. Starr and Tesa L. Starr; her sister Nettie M. Armistead (George); her siblings-in-law, Nancy S. Babin (Carroll) and Robert C. Starr (Jeanne); and her caregivers, Annette, Veronica, Ramona and Tanya. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
