It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Murphy Dehart of Houma, Louisiana, born in Theriot, Louisiana, who passed away on March 8, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Ardene Ann Ortego DeHart; his parents, Anderson DeHart and Aurelia LaCoste DeHart; and his siblings, Earl, Irvin, Lovell DeHart, Hilda Champagne, Bessie LaCoste and Lucide Naquin.

He is survived by: his children, Murphy James DeHart (Renate) and Linda DeHart Pitre; his grandchildren, Emery Roch Chauvin III, Matthew James DeHart (Jami) and Brandon Thomas Pitre (Rebecca); and his great grandchildren, Kaeden Dean DeHart, Sarah Elizabeth and Rachel Anne Pitre. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
