She is survived by: her siblings, Michael Jones of Houma, LA, Lionel Smith of Denver, CO., Henry Jones of Denver, CO., Mary Susan Jones of Denver, CO and Patricia T. Hartman of Houma, LA.; her aunt Lizzie M. Guidry of Houma, LA; her godparents, Bishop Arthur V and Gracie Verrett; and her uncles, Matt, Jr., Herbert, Wilton, Jeff, George, Jasper, Benjamin, Isaac, Otis and Rev. Saul Thomas.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at 144 Banks Street, Houma, LA. During the Pandemic Penny organized the Women of Worth Prayer Group, where she would encourage women over the phone during this difficult season.
