It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mercedes Henry Ezell of Houma, Louisiana, who passed away on June 27, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas C. Ezell, Sr.; her parents, Paul Henry and Katie Henry; her great-grandparents, Joseph Wilson and Lucy Goings Lacy; her daughter Lori Ezell; and her siblings, Albert Verdin, Henry Williams, James Carvin, Sr., Kermit Henry, Salina Combs, Helouise Carvin and Leontine Lovely.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Ezell, Yolanda Solomon (John) of Houma, Thomas "Skip" Ezell, Jr. (Sheri) and Bryan Ezell (Debra) of Houma; her siblings, Rose H. Ezell of Houma, Edward Henry (Rose) of Houma and Lionel Romar (Cynthia) of Prairieville; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Ezell Neal of Brooklyn, NY and Samuel Ezell of Cleveland, OH. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 15 Godchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
