With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mark John Darsey (Houma, Louisiana), who passed away on March 21, 2025 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Darsey, Sr. and Genevieve Darsey; his parents-in-law, Louis Gautreaux, Jr. and Betty Gautreaux; and his brothers-in-law, Dr. Jimmie Nelson and Kim Boudreaux.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Darsey; his daughter Heather Darsey Aucoin (Joshua); his grandchildren, Conner Darsey, Amelia Aucoin and Louis Aucoin; his pet Sophie; his siblings, Charles Darsey, Jr. (Jill), Daniel Darsey (Winnie), Paul Darsey (Rhonda), Brian Darsey (Bridget), Joan Lyon (Dave), Ann Smith (Terry), Renee Broussard (Donald), Kathleen Mooring (Billy), Jean Traigle (Richard) and Julie Keese (Bronson); and his sisters-in-law, Loretta Bonvillain (Russel), Bonnie Fuller (Steve), Maxine Boudreaux and Pamela Gautreaux. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Magnolia Chapel of Chauvin Funeral Home (5899 LA-311, Houma, LA 70360). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to CASA of Terrebonne and/or MacDonell Children Services.
