He was predeceased by: his father Donald Joseph Avet, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Gretchen Elizabeth Maier Avet; his mother Mary Jane Hebert Avet; his children, Sean Michael Avet, Christopher Anthony Avet (Alyssa Galler Avet) and Sarah Katherine Avet; his siblings, Donald Joseph Avet, Jr. (Connie Bunch Avet), Thomas "Tommy" David Avet (Wendy Rochel Avet), Susan Avet Theriot (Jimmy Theriot) and Celeste Avet Babin (Kenneth Babin); his pets, Opie and Roux Roux; and his close friends, Mike Samanie (Charlene) and Clifford Hebert (Jackie). He is also survived by friends, and beloved dogs.
