It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Baxley of Houma, Louisiana, who passed away on February 11, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband Nathan Baxley; her parents, Jesus Rodriguez and Otila Guerra Rodriguez; her children, Wilford "Bud" Coy, Melinda E. Coy and Henry "Hank" Coy; her grandson Richard Coy; and her siblings, Guadalupe and Jesus.
She is survived by: her husband Filemon Martinez; her children, Arminda (Salvador Vazquez), Linda (Victor Valdez), Lucinda (Patrick Lefort), Joseph Bourg (Amy), Jessie Bourg (Debra) and Martin Bourg (Samantha); her close friend Terry "Nin" Detillier; and her sisters, Otila, Elvira, Leticia and Janie. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. **Due to COVID 19 Restrictions, masks are to be worn and social distancing should be practiced.
