She was predeceased by: her son John McKinley James; her granddaughter Tiffany James; her parents, Samuel James and Pearl Turner James; and her siblings, Lester, Laniel, Jonas James, Pearl James and Evelynn Willis.
She is survived by: her daughters, Marlene Johnson (Joseph, Jr.), Cynthia Johnson (Terrence), Joann James and Lorraine Sanders. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
