It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Annick George Matherne (Houma, Louisiana), who passed away on March 30, 2025, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Gabriel Elmo George, Dorothy Daigle George, Arthur Joseph Babineaux and Adele Benoit Babineaux; and her father Robert Gabriel George, Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Amber Claire Matherne and Bradley Craig Matherne; her mother Audrey Babineaux George; and her brothers, Robert "Robby" Gabriel George, Jr. and Arthur Andre George. She is also survived by extended family members; and an army of friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church (409 Funderburk Ave, Houma, LA 70364). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM.
