He was predeceased by: his wife Donna Gafford; his parents, Mary Holleman and Homer Gafford; his sisters, Roberta "Bobbie" Simmons and Dr. Mary Kay Stanley; and his son-in-law Tommy Treuting.
He is survived by: his children, Jack Gafford (Robin), Jan Treuting (late Tommy Treuting) and Julie Maureaux (Joe); and his grandchildren, Jason Gafford (Jessica), Katie Gafford Maxie, Jonathan Gafford (Nikki), Todd Mondello (Trisha), Dana Garrett (Grant), Melanie Bueche (Jeff), Paul Treuting (Becky) and Matthew Treuting. He is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chauvin Funeral Home (5899 LA-311, Houma, LA 70360). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
