She was predeceased by: her former husband Alley J. Marcel; her husband Thaddeus Champagne; her daughter Linda Marcel LeBlanc; her daughter-in-law Madlyn Hebert Marcel; her parents, John Theriot and Amay Chauvin Theriot; her grandchildren, Jeffery Hermann and Taylor Marcel; and her siblings, Elton, Carrol, John Roy, Clinton Theriot, Cecile Evans, Madge Landry and Elsie Rhodes.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Marcel, Debra Champagne (Hubert, Jr.), Amy St. Martin, Steven Marcel (Anna), David Marcel (Melinda) and Rick Marcel (Michelle); her son-in-law Wayne LeBlanc; her stepchildren, Nancy Trahan (Tommy), Peggy Aucoin (Tony), Chris Champagne and Susan Hebert Champagne; and her brothers, Herbert Theriot and Patrick Theriot (Patty). She is also survived by twenty grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Maria Immacolata Church (246 Corporate Dr, Houma, LA 70360). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to St. Jude.
