He was predeceased by: his wife Vicki Arceneaux Schexnayder; his parents, Marc Schexnayder and Alice Rome Schexnayder; his brothers, Marc "Pookum" Schexnayder Jr. (Edwina) and Duke Paul Schexnayder; his parents-in-law, Junius Arceneaux Sr. and Wilda Arceneaux; and his sister-in-law Elaine Naquin.
He is survived by: his children, Aaron P. Schexnayder (Heidi), Louis Schexnayder Jr. (Shannon), Brandy Schexnayder Theriot (John) and Curt Schexnayder (Dixie Galliano); his brother Bruno "Re Re"; his grandchildren, Michelle Schexnayder, Aaron Schexnayder II, Tayler Schexnayder, Austan Theriot, Ariel Theriot, Krislyn Schexnayder, Hannah Schexnayder, Hunter Schexnayder, Chansen Schexnayder and Rhilyn Schexnayder; his stepgrandchildren, Tate and Bella; his great grandchildren, Stratton, Luke and Greycen; and his brother-in-law Junius Arceneaux Jr.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
