He was predeceased by: his wife Bernadine White Miles; his son Fredrick Miles; his parents, Lee, Sr. Miles and Ruth Cook Miles; his siblings, Benjamin, Albert, Raymond Miles, Evelyn Albohaire, Esther Lee Miles, Rose Lee Perry, Clara Bell Bennet and Patricia Calloway; and his grandparents, Jessie, Dollie Thomas Miles, Elijah and Evelyn Mallory Cooks.

He is survived by: his children, Lee, III, Donald (Vicki), Timothy Miles, Sylvia Ruffin (Claudell), Rose Joseph (James), Bernadette, Melissa, Angela Miles and Toree Henderson; his daughter-in-law Jane Casey Miles; and his siblings, Hurley, John D., Alvin, Milton, Darnell Miles, Gloria Jones, Ruth Payne, Dollie Randle and Mary Ann M. George. He is also survived by twenty-seven grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren.
