He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Dillard and Shirley Dillard; and his sister Carol Dillard. He is survived by: his children, Lee "Dennis" Dillard IV (Alisha Totina) and Julie Nolfo (Jacob); his grandchildren, Brayden, Alexander, Noah, Alyssa, Tristan and Paisley; and his sisters, Mary Lee Smith, Ann Talbot and Hope Dillard.
