It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lawrence J. James of Houma, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on October 18, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry P. James and Theresa Hagardorn James; his siblings, Florence Hernandez and Henry F. James; and his stepdaughter Delores Arp.

He is survived by: his wife Thelma Plessala James; and his stepsons, Charles Arp, Jr. (Jean), Christopher Arp and Mike Arp (Angie). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
