He was predeceased by: his wife Albertha D. Pellegrin; his son Kenneth Pellegrin; his parents, Johnny Pellegrin and Margaret Pellegrin; and his stepfather Lindsay.

He is survived by: his daughters, Anita Pellegrin (Ward Robichaux), Sandra Foret (DeWayne Farrell), Roxane (Morgan Foret) and Charlotte (Richard Hector). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
