He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Ezella Dean and Joseph Dean, Sr.; and his siblings, Mary Dean and Leroy Dean. He is survived by: his wife Martha Foret Dean; his daughters, Ilene Dean (Jules Pitre), Margie Dean (James Ronquille), Crystal Parfait (Mark) and Maranda Van (Phong); his grandchildren, Renada (Ernest), Jace (Bria), Mark (Elizabeth), Farah and Jaydon (Brianna); his great grandchildren, Tai'Lyn, Mila, Brynleigh, Kenley, Caden, Parker, Noah, Kaisleigh, Koen and Sophie; his grandchildren, Mark, Jr., Bresa and Karma; and his brothers, Roy Dean, Jessie Dean and Jerry Dean.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chauvin Funeral Home & Crematory (5899 LA-311, Houma, LA 70360). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery (6661 Grand Caillou Rd, Dulac, LA 70353).
