It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Ernest Trosclair Sr. of Houma, Louisiana, who passed away on February 8, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Beulah Trosclair; his parents, Angelo Trosclair and Louise Trosclair; his siblings, Irene, Pete, George Sr., Allie, Linda and Angelo Jr.; his sons-in-law, Ellis and Errol; his grandson Jordie Trosclair; and his great grandchild Isabella Trosclair.
He is survived by: his children, Dynell Billiot, Cheryl Luke, Sue Ellen Duplantis (David), Nathan Trosclair, Clark Trosclair (Eve), John Trosclair, Jr. (Jackie), Louis Trosclair (Bonita) and Skylar Trosclair (Tiffani); his sister Bessie Jackson; his grandchildren, April, Jessica, Dean, Amy, Jacob, Sierra, Elizabeth, Arron "Nick", Nikki, Alexandra "Alex", Evan "Penny", Kevin, Shae, Devin, JaeLyn, Elijah, Anthony, Reanna, Kenz'Leigh, Jacob Jr., Joshua "Burrito", Joel "Chalupa", Issac, Jorge Jr., Alaizah, Tristan, Aaron, Paxton, Gabriel, Keren, Laila, Jacelynn and Levi; and his great great grandchildren, Korey "KJ", Scarlett, Desmond, Conner, Onyxx and Kalena.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Samart Funeral Home of Houma (635 Bayou Blue Rd, Houma, LA 70364). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (5396 Shrimpers Row, Houma, LA 70363).
