It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan Brierre of Houma, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on June 22, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred Meridier and Olga Meridier; her brother Rev. Wilfred Meridier; and her parents-in-law, Henry and Hilda Brierre.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Brierre, Sr.; and her children, Robert Brierre, Jr. (Susan), Richard Brierre (Kim), Denise Turner (Craig), Patrice Theriot (Konrad), Lisa Kirkwood (Robert) and Joan. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; sisters.
