He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson LaBouve and Loretta Bergeron LaBouve; his siblings, Sheila LaBouve Van Matre and Danny Paul LaBouve; his daughter-in-law Shelley Cunningham; and his close friends, Mike Hull and Durand Estelle.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Cunningham LaBouve; his children, John David Avery Jr. (Tammy), Artanian James LaBouve, Sr. (Linda), Jeremiah Joseph LaBouve (Tina Chaisson), Batman Melancon (Nicole), Roxanne Avery Gaddis (Donald Sr.) and Emily M. Robert (Joshua); his siblings, Michael LaBouve (Debra), Lonnie LaBouve (Kathy), Shayne LaBouve (Dana), Richelle LaBouve Duplantis (Nelson Jr.) and Esther Lynn LaBouve Lee (Bart); his brother-in-law Billy Van Matre; and his grandchildren, John "Trey" Timperio, Grace Timperio, Jasmine Gaddis, Donald Gaddis II, Artanian LaBouve Jr., Kirsten LaBouve, Carter LaBouve, Jacen LaBouve, Kai Melancon, Jaxon Melancon, Alexa Robert and Caitlin Robert. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
