She was predeceased by: her husband Emery Dean Martin; her parents, Xavier Duplantis and Cornelia Pellegrin Duplantis; her siblings, Jessie Blanchard (Nauly) and Ronnie Duplantis; and her grandson Alvin Yates, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Darla Bourgeois (Lloyd), Debra Olden, Sr. (Dennis), Terral Martin (Cynthia), Arlene Yates, Sr. (Alvin), Timothy Martin (Donna) and Rachel Deroche, Sr. (Randy); and her siblings-in-law, Nancy Duplantis, Maiston Martin (Loyce) and Lois Lackey. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, and thirty-nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
